Exciting Times Ahead at Umritun

As they say, opportunities abound, but challenges lurk. This has never been more true in the transcription business space. We are seeing so many great opportunities that we’re so excited to dive in, but we wanted to make sure we’re prepared to keep up with the challenges.

New technology is making us work faster and more efficiently, but work processes are changing faster than we can learn them. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of information that we need to process that even our brains can’t keep up. So we need to bridge that gap through training.

The software required by clients are getting more sophisticated that it takes quite a while to get used to them. Learning new things can be habit-forming especially if we have the right tools to help us get there.

In the next few days, we’ll be posting training-related articles that can help transcribers learn the intricacies and nuances of different transcription software. Learning a new software can be daunting because fear and self-doubt always set in. We hope to take the fear out of the equation so each transcriber will become experts in transcription software that we use.

We have an excellent team of transcribers that we want to stay with us for the long haul. And we also want to invite freelance transcribers who are keen on joining us and growing with us as we navigate this very competitive space.
